Ed “Boots” Zymblosky earned his nickname the day he was born, when his proud father carried a pair of tiny baby booties into the hospital nursery. The name stuck, and so did the determination that would define his life. At 19, Boots convinced his mother to lend him $75 to buy a 1957 GMC 1-ton, which he converted into a homemade wrecker. That truck became the seed for Boots & Hanks Towing, founded in 1966.

Over the decades, Boots and his son Eddie grew that small towing business into Boots & Hanks Truck Parts, one of the largest heavy-duty truck parts and recovery operations in the Northeast.
